As part of the support for selected companies for the implementation of the Resilience and Recovery Program for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Senegal (P2R), a training session on “Tool Development and Digital Marketing” was held on October 2nd and 3rd, 2023, at the UNIDO office in Dakar.
This intensive training, led by UNIDO expert Mr. Abdoulaye SECK, brought together a group of participants from various sectors (food processing, hygiene and health, bakery/pastry, etc.). Over these two days, participants had the opportunity to become familiar with digital marketing tools.
The emphasis on practical application allowed participants to gain operational skills that they can apply in their professional activities. Practical exercises were a key element of the training, providing participants with a concrete and immediate experience.
A noteworthy aspect of the training was the testimonials of two participants: Ms. Khady BA, the founder of DyDy Africa, expressed her belief that “This training was more important than giving us money.” These words reflect the concrete impact of the training and the positive change it brings to participants’ business practices. Additionally, Salamba Diène, the CEO of BIOSENE, shared her experience by stating that she had undergone other training in the field, but this time, she had truly acquired skills that made her self-sufficient, no longer dependent on an external provider to share content or design materials. “This is an invaluable asset for which I warmly thank the European Union and UNIDO.”
In addition to strengthening their skills, the training also provided an opportunity for networking among participants. Many prospects for collaboration emerged as participants discovered common interests in their respective activities.
“We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the European Union, UNIDO, and the Ministry of Commerce of Senegal for their invaluable support that made this training possible. Their commitment to sustainable industrial development and innovation has been clearly demonstrated,” said Mr. Algora Sène, CEO of BIOTECH Senegal, at the end of the training.
This training will undoubtedly leave a lasting mark on the professional journey of the participants and contribute to strengthening the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
